Preschool Art and Play

Art exploration and play for kids age 12 months+.
Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:30-11:00
Come to our large, sunny studio where preschoolers can play, pretend, read, imagine, try new things, and make art! We will always have the play area, the sensory bin, and an art project set up for you.
​
A parent or caregiver must be present; join in, or observe from the comfy sofa. The Keurig Bar is always open (help yourself).
​
One child, age 1-5 years - $15
Two or more siblings, ages 1-5 years - $20

After School Art Clubs
Extra-long sessions in the studio with art and play.
Mondays = Grades 2-5: Early-Release Art Club
Thursdays = Grades K-2: Young Artists Club
In After School Art Clubs, kids can move between 3 areas:
​
- Work on the guided art project of the day.
- Explore mediums and tools we have set up, like an open art studio. Choices might include paint, paper,
clay, beads, pipe cleaners, wood, felt, pom poms, markers, wire, foam, cardboard, and more.
- Play! We have a cozy seating area that will be set up with fun things like Grimm's wooden toys, nature
blocks, Magnatiles, a play kitchen, books, miniatures, and puzzles. There will also be something gooey,
slimey or sticky - water beads, dough, slime, oobleck, kinetic sand - you never know.
​
These 3 elements will be different at every session.
​
- Arrival and departure times are flexible to accommodate your schedule.
- Please bring a snack.
- Sign up for an entire month at a discounted rate.

Solstice Morning Workshop: Folding Froebel Stars
​

Learn how to make these beautiful Froebel stars, also called Moravian stars or Swedish stars. They are easy to fold once you know how, and they make gorgeous ornaments or decorations.
​
You will fold several stars here, and take home illustrated directions and strips to make a few more.
​
We will have a few sweet treats, and warm drinks from the Keurig Bar (or bring your own).
​
Folding these stars may become a wonderful tradition (or addiction) for seasons to come.

Slime and Perler Beads Workshop
​
2 day camp, half days
Ages 5-8
August 13-14, 1:00-4:00pm

Two of the things most requested by kids - together in one workshop! We will experiment with recipes for all the slimes, and send the results and the recipes home with you. Make your own Perler designs, or create one from our collection of patterns. You can even melt them to make beads or bowls! [Heating and ironing is done by adults only.]

Summer Art, Craft, and Play Camp

5 day camp, ages 4-6

July 27-31, 1:00-4:00pm

Sunny summer arts and crafts for our youngest campers! We'll use watercolors, tempera, pastels, and Model Magic to do fun art projects. We'll make things to play with at home like bubble wands, nature crowns, peg people, and homemade dough. And of course, we will play!

Messy Painting Camp

3 day camp, half days
Ages 5-8
August 10-12, 1:00-4:00pm
$100.00

This is an unconventional painting class - we will not be using paintbrushes except to mix colors. Some things we will do: spray, splatter, and dribble paint using kitchen utensils, upcycled objects, toys, and things we find outside. We will even paint with, an on, marshmallows! We have smocks of course, but old clothes are a must.
